Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Secretary General and chairman of the Senate’s Committee on Defence Mushahid Hussain Sayed on Friday called upon the political leadership to learn from the Pakistan cricket team, especially Shahid Afridi, to overcome their fear and adopt a clear policy to tackle all challenges, including terrorism.
Talking to reporters outside Parliament House, he said the government by interfering in the cricket affairs tried to destroy the sport, but the players showed a brave face keeping their spirit intact and went on to win crucial matches in the Asia Cup.
He said the government will have to take leaf out from the cricket team’s book and do away with their fear to tackle challenges in the future.
Mushahid hoped that the Pakistan cricket team will continue its good performance and win the Asia Cup final as well.
