PPP Senator Raza Rabbani on Friday accused the government of being hand in glove with the banned terrorist outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)
Talking over Senate’s Friday’s point-of-order, the PPP lawmaker said that reports have indicated the use of a much bigger calibre weapon, while the guard of the judge merely carried a pistol.
Accusing government of being in cahoots with the TTP, Rabbani said that “a minister defending Taliban could not be trusted with carrying out dialogue with Taliban on behalf, interest of masses”, stressing that the Nation should be taken into confidence over dialogue with Taliban.
ANP Senator Zahid Khan sought clarification over the interior minister’s claim that Islamabad judge had been killed accidentally by his own guard.
MQM Senator Babar Ghauri was critical of being denied reports about the district court carnage, since past three days, while ANP Senator Afrasiab Khattak was critical of bombings in FATA. Khattak also expressed concerns about the plight of Wazirsitan’s refugees.
PML Senator Mushahid Hussain was bitter about three contradictory statements by government regarding Islamabad carnage and said, “If we cannot discern the realities of Islamabad, than Islamabad has no support.” He stressed complete judicial enquiry into the Islamabad incident.
