1 dies, 8 test positive for swine flu in Multan

Another patient died of swine flu at Nishtar Hospital on Wednesday, increasing the death toll to three in Multan.
Moreover, eight patients were tested positive for the flu. Abdur Rehman, 40, a resident of Khanewal, was admitted to the hospital where he died.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Health Department has issued a warning after several more cases of swine flu were detected in the province.
Earlier, Humaira from Multan and Rubina from Taunsa Sharif were brought to Nishtar Hospital, but they did not survive.
The officials said that 15 patients were brought to the hospital from southern Punjab’s remote areas. They said that three of them had died. They said that blood test reports of four patients, of 15, were being awaited.
Dr Waheed Anjum said swine flu had first time appeared during 2009, causing panic across the world. He said that the affected person could be contagious for up to 10 days.
