6 FC men among 8 killed in KP

HANGU/PESHAWAR

Terrorists on Wednesday targeted a security forces’ convoy in Hangu District, killing six FC (FC) officials whereas a cop another man were killed in separate incidents of violence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Sources confirmed that a convoy was travelling from Hangu to Kurram Agency when it was targeted near Warmagal area on the Hangu-Kurram Agency border. Six soldiers were killed whereas eight others sustained injuries. Sources also said the blast was carried out using an improvised explosive device (IED).
The injured were shifted to Combined Military Hospital Thall Hangi. Several injured were said to in a critical condition.
Banned terrorist outfit Ansarul Islam has claimed responsibility for the brazen attack.
Meanwhile, unidentified terrorists shot dead a police constable in Tauheedabad Peshawar. Officials said sectarian terrorists were behind the Shia cop’s killing. The body was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.
Meanwhile, another man was killed in a grenade attack in Charsadda’s Prang area. Police said the victim was collecting sand when a grenade concealed in a pile of sand went off and killed him.
Separately, two bullets-riddled bodies were found in Jamrud Tehsil of Khyber Agency. Both the men were said to be residents of Peshawar.
