Initial report of F-8 court attack made public

ISLAMABAD –

The preliminary report of the firing and suicide bombing attack on Islamabad session court in F-8 was forwarded to the Interior Ministry on Tuesday, private news channel reported.

According to the report, five to seven attackers, clad in shawls, entered the court premises in separate groups.
They fired around 1,000 bullets for about 20 minutes while no one out of the 200 security officials deployed on duty retaliated.

The attackers reportedly called a man named Ayub, on phone and directed him to bring more weapons to the site, adds the report.

Sources say that three of the attackers were from Punjab and the prime target of the attack was Additional Session Judge Rafaqat Awan.

Awan had dismissed a plea to register Abdul Rashid Ghazi murder case.

The report further states that 46 courts are situated in the premises of the district court that came under the attack.

Offices of additional deputy commissioner revenue, home department, legal branch of police, excise and taxation office, tehsildar courts and NADRA’s Soft Centre are also located in proximity of the court.

Meanwhile, a medical board of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) prepared the post-mortem report of the victims.

According to the report, Justice Rafaqat Awan died of bullet injuries in chest and arms.

The bodies of all the 11 victims were handed over to the families while the DNA tests over the remains of the suicide attacker were underway.

A case has been registered against unknown persons for the terror attack in F-8 police station, added the news report.

  1. What remain left? Now they reached islambad. Before that thy attacked marriot hotel in red zone. Perhapes now we waiting of a attack on PM house. Or may be they would attack PM house because there is their own PM is living.

  2. No mention of suicide attack,6/7 attackers verses 200 security personal.something not right about security system of pakistan.

  3. The last line of the above news report is incorrect "they are known persons" its just that our security services are reluctunt to take any action.
    The Dollars coming into their accounts will stop if they take any action.
