ISLAMABAD-
The former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf was granted a one-day exemption from appearance in the court hearing of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed murder case on Saturday by an additional Session Judge, a private news channel reported.
During today’s hearing, a petition filed by Musharraf’s lawyer sought his exemption from court for the day.
Plaintiff lawyer Asad Advocate raised objection on the petition, saying that the law applies to everyone equally.
He said that the defendant was faking sickness.
He pleaded the court to suspend the former dictator’s bail, issue his arrest warrants and summon him to court.
The court, headed by Justice Wajid Ali, granted Musharraf with a one-day exemption and summoned him to appear in the next hearing on March 15.
The court was adjourned until then.
