45 shops sealed over non-payment of CDGL dues
City District Government Lahore (CDGL) sealed 45 shops at Circular Road, Do Moria Pul and Bhaati Gate over non-payment of arrears for the last two years.
According to DCO spokesman, the district administration lent 45 shops located on Circular Road, Do Moria Pul and Bhaati Gate localities to 45 shopkeepers who had not paid the rent for last two years.
CDGL issued notices to the shopkeepers for paying arrears but they failed to comply with the order. Consequently, the district administration, on the direction of DCO Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi, carried out an operation and sealed these shops.
Lahore EDO Finance and Planning Rana Saleem monitored the sealing process. These shopkeepers were defaulters of more than Rs 15 million.
