Three new check posts have been set up on entry points of Rawalpindi at motorway to monitor terror-related activities.
These pickets have been established under the directives of Punjab government to curb terrorist activities.
Potohar SP Haroon Joya said that three special check posts have been set up on three entry points of Rawalpindi at motorway from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) side.
These check posts include Bahter, Chowki Hameeda and Chakri.
Highly trained staff has been deployed therein and cameras installation process will be started soon. Suspected persons will be subjected to thorough search process and database of their pictures will be worked out. Likewise, entry of every public service vehicle will be made and they will be recorded in a register.
