Sindh Information and Local Bodies Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that all illegal Afghan residents and other nationals will be sent back to their homes as soon as possible.
He was talking to media outside the Sindh Assembly (SA) on Friday where he stated that the Sindh government would not compromise over any security laps.
The minister also revealed that extortionists living abroad particularly in South Africa are giving threats to traders and doctors in Karachi and the government has effective plan to apprehend them with the help of Interpol.
He refused the impression of Karachi being hub of extortionists rather stressed saying that Punjab and capital are also suffering from this plague.
“Strict security measures will be implemented to avoid entry of criminals in Sindh”, adding that scanners will be placed in the entry routes of the province.
He further said that the delivery of arms within the country is a vital threat to the internal security of the state.
