Miscreants blew up an 18-inch diameter gas pipeline near Kashmore town of Sindh bordering Balochistan suspending gas supply to Karachi and other cities of the province.
Police said the pipeline was blown up the other morning in Abdul Rahim Bijarani village of Kashmore’s Tangwani tehsil. Officials said miscreants used explosive material to destroy the pipeline carrying natural gas from Balochistan’s Sui area to Karachi and other cities.
Following the blast, security arrived at the site and cordoned off the area. Local authorities inspected the site where repair work was underway.
