LAHORE-

Chief of Jamat e Islami (JI) Munawar Hassan on Thursday demanded of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain to withdraw his statement regarding a military takeover.

The JI chief, while talking to media reporters, condemned Hussain’s suggestion to the Pakistan Military to take over the country saying that no one had ever done so.

The pro-Taliban party chief further said that the democratic norms should be given a chance to nurture.

He also said that the army is a responsible institution, which would not pay attention to the MQM leader’s statement.

  1. Military take over is the only option left with Altaf Hussain. His statement is of a drowning man who catches at a straw. In democracy he feels suffocated for want of oxygen. Thank God the nation and media had not taken his statement exhorting Army to take over, serious;y. Let him take courage from Gen. Musharraf and come from the ice laden England to the spring season of Pakistan.

  2. MQM must be banned as its leader altaf has become mad and their activities are totally against the security of Pakistan.MQM is an extremist party and they have captured Karachi in thier frip and control since 1974.MQM is an agent of India and are busy to destabilise Pakistan. We sondemn Altaf`s statement provoking novle P ak Army to take control of Pakistan.
