ISLAMABAD-
The Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security, Sartaj Aziz on Thursday said that the targeted military action in Waziristan was fruitful in the long run and the writ of state will be established in the region, a private news channel reported.
Talking to media reporters, Aziz further said that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was not serious about the peace dialogue, adding that the dialogue with TTP has derailed.
The PM advisor also told the media that the defence policy will soon be unveiled, following the announcement of national internal security policy on Wednesday.
Responding to a question over Pakistan’s policy shift on Syria, Aziz said that the reports relating to weapons export to Saudi Arabia for use against Syria were baseless.
