IT park to be set up in capital: NA informed

The government plans to set up a state-of-the-art InformationTechnologyPark in the capital.

Minister of State for Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch told the National Assembly Thursday that the concept paper of the IT Park has been approved by the Planning Commission. Pakistan Software Export Board is working on the PC-II of the project which will be submitted to the Planning Commission shortly for approval.

Parliamentary Secretary Raja Javed Ikhlas told the House that the residents of Islamabad are being provided hygienically suitable water from seven sources including Simly and Khanpur Dams. He said that most of the filtration plants installed on tubewells in the capital territory are operational. He said filters of these plants are changed every six months.
