The government has so far released Rs 136.262 million for Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), out of its total allocation of Rs 700 million for the current fiscal year (2013-14) under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
According to the latest data of Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, Rs 88.435 million have been released for Pakistan Remote Sensing Satellite (PRSS) for which allocations of Rs.631.676 million have been earmarked in PSDP of current year.
Similarly, Rs 47.827 million have been released for development of Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) Lahore for which the government has earmarked Rs.68.324 million in the current PSDP.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government has so far released Rs. 182.597 billion under PSDP for various projects against total allocations of Rs. 540 billion for the fiscal year 2013-14.
The Planning Commission of Pakistan has been following a proper mechanism for the release of funds and accordingly funds are released as per given mechanism.
The Commission releases 20 percent of funds in first quarter (July-September), 20 percent in second quarter (October-December), 30 percent third quarter(January-March) and 30 percent in fourth quarter
