Hand grenade diffused by BDS in Peshawar

PESHAWAR-

The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Tuesday defused a hand grenade which was recovered by police on the railway tracks near the Iranian consulate.

According to sources, the hand grenade recovered this morning was actually thrown by the suicide bomber on Monday outside the Iranian consulate but it remained intact on the railway tracks overnight, without being traced.

A police patrol found the bomb this morning and called in the BDS to diffuse it.

Tehreek-e- Taliban Pakistan affiliated group Mast Gul had claimed the responsibility for Monday’s suicide attack outside the consulate in which three Frontier Corps men were martyred.
