In a surprising statement on Tuesday, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chairman Altaf Hussain urged the military to take over the country in case the army and government fail to come on the same page over security issues.
“We will have to decide between saving Pakistan and democracy,” Altaf Husain stressed in a statement issued from London, adding, “there will be democracy, if there is Pakistan”.
The MQM chief stated that he could care less if anyone says he was inviting dictatorship in the country.
He said he would rather support the idea of resolution of issues through a dialogue but stressed that “first the writ of the State and Constitution will have to be established; a ceasefire and dialogue come next”.
Neither I like him nor support but, I totally agree to his this suggestion! Now this is the only solution to save the country. first seal all the exits from Pakistan, impose Marshal law and hang all the judges and corrupt politicians but i doubt it as after Musharraf are having all the eunuchs as Army chiefs!
He hesitate not to throw Pakistan in dark era of Martial Law. He is in fact enemy number one. Taalban is only excuse for him reach his objectives but failure is destined for him. Armed forces of Pakistan have learned a bitter lesson of taking over. Shame for you Altaf.

I agree with Ahsan. I don't like Altaf myself. I don't agree with most of the things he says but I do agree that its time for Army to take over. I also agree with Ahsan that the military should hang all the judges and politicians. Pakistan needs a fresh start. Unfortunately, like Ahsan, I don't see a General in the army that has a back bone. These days COAS is appointed for their submissiveness and loyalty to the political head of the state instead of state itself. When cowards and "yes" men are promoted to Generals, the army becomes the laughing stock of the world.
