Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Monday that a ban should be imposed on (political) parties supporting the Taliban.

Speaking in the Sindh Assembly, he said sacrifices rendered by law enforcers were seen with respect. He reiterated that Taliban were terrorists, adding the entire nation stood by armed forces in operation against terrorists.

Earlier during the session, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmaker Kamran Akhtar presented a motion in the house regarding revelation of al-Qaeda groups presence in the city.

He said apprehensions of MQM chief proved right regarding Talibanisation in Karachi. MQM MPA said nobody including politicians and journalists were safe in Karachi. He stated that a moment had arrived to launch decisive operation against terrorists.

He demanded the chief minister to impose ban on Taliban and their supporters. He said Taliban deserved to be hanged.

Meanwhile, speaking to media before the Sindh Assembly session, Sharjeel Memon said federal government should take steps to eradicate terrorism as it was given a mandate in All Parties Conference.
