Several terrorists were killed in retaliation fire from security forces following an attack on checkpost in Kurram tribal agency, a private news channel reported on Monday.
Officials said a large number of terrorists attacked Khawand Kandao security checkpost this morning and left six soldiers injured in firing. In retaliation, the security forces killed several attackers in the restive tribal region.
Earlier today, a key Taliban commander, Asmatullah Shaheen, was killed among five militants in an ambush in North Waziristan region.
