753 criminals nabbed, stolen items worth 32 million recovered

Islamabad police have arrested a total of 753 criminals and recovered stolen items worth 32 million, 15.859 kg Narcotics, 1985 wine bottles and cache of weapon from their possession.

According to details, on the special directions of senior police officers Islamabad police during the last 45 days have arrested 753 culprits involved in crime of dacoity, murder, robbery, car theft and recovered stolen items worth 3, 24,000,00 rupees from their possession.

Meanwhile, during the same period Islamabad police have arrested 194 criminals and recovered 15.218 kilogram hashish, 641 gram heroine,1985 bottles wine, 4 Kalashnikov, 4 guns ,67  pistols along with 503 bullets from their possession.

Islamabad police have nabbed 246 absconders involved in crime of heinous nature during this period in its special crackdown against outlaws.

Islamabad police also conducted nine search operations during this period with a purpose to keep a high vigilance against suspects and secure the city.

IGP Islamabad said that Minister for Interior Ch. Nisar Ali Khan has stressed to curb activities of anti-social elements and make the city crime free. He said that complaints at police stations are being addressed on top priority and maximum efforts are being made to facilitate the citizens. He said that Islamabad police is making utmost efforts to ensure protection to the lives of the citizens and it would be made exemplary police force through its service oriented policies and elimination of corruption.
