Unidentified gunmen entered a mosque and killed one person while two others received injuries on Sunday.
According to police, the gunmen killed the man and injured two others in a mosque, Jama Masjid Khyber, situated in Qasba Colony, Orangi Town. Police arrested one of the gunmen in injured condition. The dead body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, three persons were killed as two rival groups opened fire on each other in Jhatpat Market, Lyari.
On the other hand, Rangers arrested 25 suspects during targeted operation in different parts of the city and recovered 42 weapons. The suspects were arrested from Bhittaiabad, Mehran Town, Bilal Colony, Gulzar Colony, Model Town, Baloch Goth, Mianwali Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Shah Faisal areas.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police for District West Javed Alam Odho informed the media that a 9 mm pistol was recovered from the culprit and he was under interrogation.
