Renting houses, hotels, hostels without prior information to police banned in capital

Islamabad district magistrate has imposed a ban on renting out home and property in federal capital without informing the police.

Owner of hotels and hostels will also be required to inform the police in advance while allowing guests to stay in their hotels and hostels.

District Magistrate Sher Dil has issued two separate orders in this regard.

As per orders, no property dealer or broker or owner will rent out their property or home to anyone without informing the respective police station. They will have to provide information and identity card number of the tenant to police as required in the proforma introduced by the police.

Likewise identity card, mobile phone number and other information will also be required to be produced to concerned police station in respect of the guests who will stay in hotels, motels, inns and guest houses.

These orders will stand enforced immediately and will remain effective for two months.
