Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that his visit to China was the most important one of his entire political life.
He was addressing a reception hosted by him in honour of Chinese investors and his delegation in Beijing on Friday. President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussian especially participated in the reception.
The chief minister said that the historic investment package for Pakistan announced by China reflect the confidence of Chinese government in Pakistani leadership as they know that this capital will be in safe hands. He said that Pakistani leadership will come up to the expectation of Chinese government, investors as well as people of Pakistan and the day is not far when load-shedding will be completely eliminated from the country.
The chief minister said that Punjab government is implementing power generation projects on war footing and Nandipur and Quaid-e-Azam solar park are living examples of this fact. He said that generous cooperation of China to Pakistan for resolving energy crisis is a matter of immense pleasure, however, it will be a day of extreme joy when load-shedding will be completely eliminated from the country. He said had an inefficient government which also indulged in nepotism been in power in Pakistan, such a big investment would never have come to the country despite Chinese friendship. He said that extremism and load-shedding are two major issues of Pakistan and elimination of energy crisis is also essential for overcoming extremism. He said that it is a historical fact that crime and extremist trends are the product of poor and uneducated societies.
