Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah Saturday said that gunship helicopter attack on Taliban in North Waziristan Agency was a decision of military leadership, however, he asked the government to take decisive decision against Taliban without wasting time.
Talking to media persons at his house, he said there was no point in holding talks with the Taliban and the government should immediately decide to launch operation against the militants. He said the country would face more loses if the government did not make timely decision. The opposition leader said his party would support the government’s decision as the PPP supported peace negotiation with the Taliban. But the people saw the result of talks, he added.
Khurshid Shah said the intelligence agencies have informed hideouts of Taliban. He said the former president Pervez Musharraf could not be indicted for his action on November 03 because he took the action as army chief and not as president.
