Peshawar police here Friday foiled a terror bid by recovering a suicide jacket near Sarband police station on the outskirt of the district.
According to police, unknown persons attacked police mobile van near Sarband police station.
On retaliation, the attackers fled leaving behind a motorcycle and suicide jacket.
On receiving information, Inspector General Bomb Disposal Squad Shafqat Malik along with his team reached the spot and defused the suicide jacket.
Law enforcers after cordoning off the area started a search operation.
