Cops at their best – arresting outlaws, seizing contraband

Islamabad Police have arrested 12 outlaws from various areas of the city including fake CNIC and driving license holders and seized 2.490 kilogrammes of hashish, liquor and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Friday.

According to details, Kohsar Police arrested Rizwan Ahmed, resident of FirashTown, for having 1.2 kgs of hashish while Aabapra Police apprehended Riaz for possessing 150g of heroin.

Bani Gala Police arrested Zia and Tahir Zaman during patrolling and seized 1.2kg of hashish from them while Pervez alias Agha Khan was nabbed for having a 30-bore pistol.

Bhara Kahu Police arrested Mumtaz Ali and Rashid Hussain for illegally occupying a piece of land while a pistol was seized from Saqib Waseem by Golra Police.

Ramana Police seized fake CNIC from an accused Janat Khel. Industrial Area Police apprehended Nazeer Ahmed for possessing bogus driving license while drunkard conductor of a vehicle Ahmed Raza was also nabbed. Koral Police apprehended Aamir Shehzad in possession of 30-bore pistol.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed and further investigations are underway.

During the general hold up, 71 bikes and one car was impounded in various police stations for being driven without authentic documents while black papers were removed from four tinted glass vehicles. Senior police officials have directed all heads of police stations to ensure effective policing.
