Polio continues to haunt Pakistan as two new cases of virus have been confirmed in North Waziristan.
According to sources, both victims of polio were the residents of Miranshah, North Waziristan.
Sources added that 17 cases of polio have been confirmed in the country in 2014 and 15 of them were confirmed in North Waziristan.
Ninety three children had been diagnosed with Polio virus in Pakistan in 2013 and 44 of them were reported from North Waziristan.
Sources claimed that 0.26 million children were deprived of polio drops.
It may be noted that the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had imposed ban on anti-polio campaign in North and South Waziristan since June 2012.
