TTP committee wants peace ‘at any cost’, Yusuf Shah

ISLAMABAD-

Member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) appointed committee for negotiations, Maulana Yusuf Shah on Thursday said that the committee seeks peace in the country at any cost.

He expressed his hopes of results yielding from peace talks despite early Thursday’s airstrikes by Pakistan Air Force in North Waziristan that killed 35 militants.

Talking to a private news channel, Shah said that his committee will soon be holding consultations regarding the situation after the recent airstrikes by PAF.

He stressed both sides for ceasefire.

Shah said that a military operation would lead to devastation in the country, saying that the committee seeks to restore peace at any cost.

PAF jets pounded militant hideouts in NWA region on Thursday after midnight, killing 35 local and foreign militants.
