Rs 200m released for five major hospitals

Punjab government has released funds amounting to Rs 200 million to five major hospitals and vocational institutes of district Rawalpindi for treatment of deserving poor people and imparting skill to widows and orphans.

These hospitals include district headquarters hospital, Holy Family, BenazirBhuttoShaheedHospital, AFIC and HeartHospital. Out of these funds financial assistance will also be provided to government hospitals of 3 other districts of Rawalpindi division including Jhelum, Chakwal and Attock for free treatment of the poor people.

This amount has been released out of Zakat fund. The report of provision of these funds to the hospitals has sent a wave of jubilation among the poor.
