Strict security measures have been taken in the capital on Thursday following air strikes against militants in the North Waziristan tribal agency.
Security sources said that Islamabad has been put on high security alert, adding special measures have been taken at key sensitive buildings including President House, Prime Minister House and Parliament building and other places.
An exercise was also undertaken to scrutinise the staff of the Parliament House for which all the data was obtained, sources said, adding all but some lower staff has been cleared.
These security measures were taken to avert and deal with any sabotage activity in possible retaliation by militants after PAF jets pounded hideouts of militants in North Waziristan killing over 30 terrorists.
