The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Wednesday foiled a terrorist attack in the SITE area of Karachi by defusing a bomb, a private news channel reported.
According to report, residents of Naurus Chowrangi area found a suspicious bag and informed police.
Upon examination by the police, a bomb was found in the bad and BDS was called in.
The BDS members defused the bomb that weighed about 12 kilograms and could have caused substantial damage to life and property if it has gone off.
A search operation was also initiated by the police.
The event follows Monday’s discovery of explosive found outside the premises of a Television Channel in the same area.
