ISLAMABAD-
The Federal Capital of Islamabad has been declared ‘very dangerous’and at high risk due to the presence of activists of banned militant outfits in the city, according to report by the Interior Ministry.
The report states that Islamabad is in high security threat as it has become the sleeper cell of members belonging to banned outfits including Al-Qaeda, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Jahngvi (LeJ).
The report further added that the terrorist element and arms were entering the country via borders in the East and West.
Cross border terrorists are also conducting terror activities in Pakistan, it added.
The interior ministry report cited India as a sponsor of terrorism that has plagued Balochistan and Azad Kashmir.
LeJ and TTP were termed a threat to Punjab while Al Qaeda, along with LeJ were stated to be targeting Sindh.
The report is expected to be presented before the standing committee of National Assembly today.
