Capital Development Authority (CDA) would launch operation against slums in federal capital being occupied by families hailing from various areas of the country from March.
An official of CDA said that in this regard authority has prepared a strategy to remove the illegal slums from the federal capital. He said that CDA is coordinating with Ministry of Interior and Islamabad Capital Territory Police for conducting operation against slums.
An official said that first phase of operation would be started from the most difficult areas of slums. He said that the Standing Committees of Senate and the National Assembly were pushing hard for clearing area.
Majority of the land grabbers in the sectors are Afghans, he added.
