Anti-Narcotics Court on Tuesday gave one day exemption to former PML-N MNA Hanif Abbasi from appearance before the court in the ephedrine quota case.
Judge Akhtar Bahadur was hearing the case. During the hearing, counsel for Hanif Abbasi submitted a petition seeking one day exemption from appearance before the court in the case which was accepted by the judge.
Eight accused including Hanif Abbssi were to be indicted on Tuesday in ephedrine case but the former MNA did not appear in the court. On this the court could not indict all the accused and adjourned the hearing till February 25.
Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani’s son Musa Gilani and former federal minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin were also accused in the case.
