The Muttehda Qaumi Movement (MQM) has filed a petition against Awami National Party’s (ANP) Senator Zahid Khan in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad for not declaring his complete assets.
The petition, which was filed by MQM’s Malik Zahid Mehmood Saqib, stated that the ANP senator did not declare his full assets and was dishonest in disclosing the details as well.
It was also said in the petition that land worth Rs36,00,000 was not disclosed in the asset details, therefore, he should be considered ineligible as he violated Article 62 and 62 of the Constitution.
Signatory documents were also provided along with the petition.
