Gas supply to all CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) stations in Punjab is likely to be restored from the first week of March.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) sources said the CNG stations of ten regions- Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal,  Multan Gujranwala and Gujrat (Zone I) and Faisalabad, Sargodha, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur region (Zone II) will get gas three days a week, as per the routine prior to the winter cut-off.

In view of decrease in ambient temperatures during winters, domestic sector gas consumption had exponentially increased, resulting in severe depletion of transmission pack, therefore, gas supply to the CNG sector had been suspended on December 10, 2013.
