Altaf complains against dead phone lines of Nine Zero

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain said on Sunday that the choked telephone lines at Nine Zero are a conspiracy by the ones who are conducting targeted operation against them. He also requested the federal and provincial governments to take notice of the issue.

The MQM chief said the telephone lines of the party’s headquarters Nine Zero and the adjacent areas have been downed under a conspiracy, crippling the connectivity. He also clarified that it usually took him almost two hours to complete a one-minute conversation on phone.

Altaf Hussain remarked the Karachi operation initiated against the criminal elements, had been diverted towards the MQM—the way 1992 operation was directed against it.

The Muttahida chief demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to track down the hidden hands responsible for choking the telephone lines.

He also added the high-ups of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) also should be approached to ascertain as to who is behind the malfunction of telephone lines.
