8 killed, several injured as another blast targets passenger train

Thal –

At least eight persons including four children were killed and more than 30 injured as the explosives fitted beneath a railway track blasted on Sunday morning near Thal area in Kashmore district of Sindh.

This time the militants targeted the Khushal Khan Express heading from Karachi to Peshawar.

As per sources, the explosives planted by unidentified militants derailed four bogies of the train. The bogies caught fire due to which eight people including four children and women killed.

Thal DSP Asghar Shah said the blast completed destroyed the tracks and suspended railway traffic from both sides. Rescue and police teams have reached the spot. The bodies and injured were shifted to the nearby hospital where a children succumbed to his injuries. 

According to railways sources, the blast has effected 100 meters railway track and a relief train from Rohri is on its way.
