HANGU-

A government high school for boys was blown up on Saturday by unknown militants in Tora Warai area of Hangu.

According to police, three classrooms of the school were planted with explosives by unidentified miscreants. The explosives went off with a loud bang, destroying the rooms and injuring the school’s watchman.

He was rushed to a hospital where his condition was reported to be stable.

Security authorities cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.

Hangu neighbours Orakzai Agency, a north-western tribal region bordering Afghanistan and rife with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Al Qaeda activists.
