Karachi is all geared up to celebrate Valentine’s Day with colorful parties, musical concerts and fashion shows. Renowned singer Sajjad Ali has specially arrived from Dubai to Karachi to perform on a function. On this day of hearts, Sindh Festival has organized a Ghazal night in which Ghulam Ali, Farida Khanum, Asif Mehdi and Humaira Channa are expected to perform.
According to reports, people have organized special dance parties at their homes and farmhouses and lovers have purchased and get stitched red clothes for this day.
On the other side, a section of showbiz celebrities are commemorating it as ‘Hijaab Day’.
Actors who are celebrating it as Hijaab Day includes Aslam Sheikh, Shehzad Ali Khan, Qaiser Khan Nizamani, singer Salim Javed, Saleem Danish, Junaid Jamshaid and others. They questioned, we wonder why don’t we celebrate our own religious and cultural festivals with the same zeal as we do this Western feast, which is not even related to us?
They further stated we celebrate love, companionship, friendship every day. Such days are for those who seldom get a chance of meeting their loved ones.
What does male have to do with Hijab day? I dnt see a single female celebrity celebrating it as a Hijab day!
