All TTP affiliates supportive of peace talks, says Sami

ISLAMABAD-

The member of appointed committee representing Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Maulana Sami-ul-Haq on Wednesday said all groups within the umbrella of militant organisation of TTP have expressed support for the dialogue process.

Haq said that some elements are trying to derail the peace negotiation through terrorism but they will not be successful in this attempt.

He said he was hopeful that that a ceasefire agreement will soon be implemented by the government as well as TTP.

Maulana Haq has also called a session of religious clerics on February 15.

According to reports, the clerics will be taken into confidence regarding the peace negotiations.

Also on Wednesday, former Pakistan ambassador to Afghanistan Rustam Shah Mohmand said that TTP is ready to come forward for peace talks if it safety is guaranteed.

Mohmand is one of the committee members representing government in the peace talks.
