PM takes notice of police torture on MQM worker

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday took notice of alleged police torture on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker.
The PM has sought report from Sindh Inspector General within 24 hours regarding Fahad Aziz torture case.
The premiere also directed for tracing those involved in the torture.
He issued the directives after MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar wrote a letter to the prime minister in this regard.
The PM took notice minutes after MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi’s press conference in which he held police for extra-judicial killings and blamed the law-enforcers of collecting Rs220 million extortion on daily basis in Karachi.
Rizvi claimed that 45 MQM workers are missing, adding that a worker died of police torture on Tuesday.
The PM, while taking notice of the incident, ordered the Sindh police chief to investigate the matter and determine those responsible.
