An early clearance of fog on Sunday was a relief for the cold-stricken dwellers of the city who had experienced rainy spells for almost a week.
A large number of people, including women and children, visited various gardens and parks in the city to enjoy the sunshine.
Almost all picnic spots in the city, including Bagh-e-Jinnah, JillaniPark, GulshanIqbalPark, ShalimarGarden, Lahore Zoo, the LahoreMuseum, the Minar-e-Pakistan, the Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque and other resorts were full of people.
Dozens of families were witnessed cooking and preparing foods to enjoy the pleasant weather while the youth were seen making movies of happy moments.
Children were seen playing different games, including cricket and football.
On the other hand, the local Met office predicted mainly cold and dry weather in most parts of the country, including the provincial capital, during the next 24 hours while foggy conditions are expected to prevail in plain areas of Punjab during morning hours.
In the provincial capital, the minimum temperature was recorded 9 degrees centigrade while the maximum was 21 degrees centigrade.
