Taliban committee member Professor Ibrahim and coordinator Yousuf Shah have left for North Waziristan to convey the government committee’s demands to the Taliban leadership.
According to media reports, the Interior Ministry provided two helicopters for the visit.
Both coordinators left Peshawar for Waziristan on helicopter, provided by the KP government.
Earlier, Yousuf had said that the committee had contacted the Taliban leadership and possibly it could not go to Waziristan for talks.
He said that the government had assured of providing helicopter, but it was no more needed as the talks could be held at any nearest place. He also said that the things would be clear in two or three days.
“Abdul Aziz is a member of the Taliban committee and will remain so,” he said.
The committee members would apprise the Taliban leadership about their first meeting with the government committee.
