Prof Syed Namwar Abbas was injured in a murderous attack by unidentified persons outside the Central College, Naseerabad, on Saturday.
Police said the professor was returning from the college when two motorcyclists opened fire at him. As a result, he and a student, Umer, received serious bullet injuries and they were rushed to General Hospital. After the incident, the assailants fled the scene. On information, the police concerned reached the spot and started investigation.
