Rawalpindi Holy Family Hospital (HFH) medical superintendent (MS) has ordered enquiry into three medicines theft cases in the hospital.
In the first case, drips worth Rs 5 million were stolen from hospital’s store. In the second case, medicines worth Rs 0.6 million were stolen from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
ICU nurses said that drips were not sent from store to wards and they were forced by the high ups of the store to sign the entry to the effect that they have received these drips. The nurses have also pointed out fake entry of medicines worth Rs 600,000 which were not sent for heart patients but were shown to have been issued.
