The Punjab government has approved construction of 121 information technology (IT) and science laboratories in primary, middle and high schools of Rawalpindi.
According to sources, the laboratories will be set up at the cost of Rs 104.1 million. All the seven tehsils of the district will have the IT and science labs.
The IT labs in 66 girls and boys high schools will be constructed at total cost of Rs 72.6 million, in 20 middle schools at Rs 10 million and in 35 girls and boys high schools at the cost of Rs 31.5 million.
