Supporters of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) on Friday staged a protest in the capital to express solidarity with former president Pervez Musharraf.
Addressing the demonstrators at National Press Club, APML leader Dr Amjad said that Musharraf was ready to appear before the court but he was barred by his doctors.
He said the former president would definitely appear before the court on February 18. The government or judiciary cannot single out Musharraf.
He demanded that Musharraf’s name should be removed from the Exit Control List (ECL).
“We do not accept the special court, which was formed by the former chief justice just few days before his retirement,” he said.
