PM stresses promotion of quality education
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said promotion of quality education is vital for ensuring socio economic development of any country.
Addressing launching ceremony of social development research centre at Sultana Foundation in Islamabad on Friday‚ he said although the government is making all out efforts for promoting education particularly in the field of science and technology yet it alone cannot achieve desired goals alone.
He said the private sector should also come forward and share its responsibilities in this regard to move forward the country on the path of economic revolution.
The Prime Minister said social service is greatest work after the worship of Almighty Allah and the people should come forward in this field to improve social status of the poor.
However‚ he said the economic and social progress of the country is directly linked with education.
Nawaz Sharif said Allah has blessed us with talented youth and it is our responsibility to train them in various fields so that they should play their due role in national development actively.
He said the loan scheme for the youth has also been launched keeping in view this objective.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are very close friends and both can work jointly for peace not only in the region but world at large.
He said Saudi Arabia is working as a model Islamic State for the Muslims. He said Pakistani people take Saudi Arabia in great reverence and have great love and affection for the Saudi government and the people.
He said Saudi Arabia has always proved to be most trust worthy and reliable friend of Pakistan and cooperation between the two countries will continue.
Speaking on the occasion‚ Saudi Prince Sultan Bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz said his country always stood by Pakistan in hard times and will continue extending all type of support to it for its rapid progress.
He expressed the confidence that Pakistan will move forward towards a bright future and Saudi government will fully support it to achieve the goal of its progress and prosperity.
He assured that the Saudi government will continue its cooperation with Pakistan in the fields of education‚ research and medicine.
He hoped the Sultana Foundation‚ which was initially launched by his late mother‚ continues its significant role in educational and social service in Pakistan.
