Pakistan’s renowned film and TV actor Ghayyur Akhtar passed away today in Lahore.
He was paralysed for the last three years and working for Radio Pakistan from his house. But last night he was shifted to a hospital in critical condition but could not survive.
Ghayyur Akhtar began his acting career in late 1970′s and became famous during 1980′s. His performances in drama serials ‘Khawaja & Sons’ and ‘Sona Chandi’ were greatly appreciated. He got fame particularly for his acting abilities in comedy roles.
Due to his extravagant performance throughout his career, he was given Pride of Performance Award.

Yes Ghayur was a good actor and was a likeable person. I miss him on TV . Allah Ghareeq e Rehmat Farmaye Aameen !
