Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has remarked country will continue to remain breeding ground of problems unless the problems facing the common man are addressed.
He further remarked “national kitty is empty, the burners are not burning and people after stealing the gas say their bail pleas be accepted.”
He gave these remarks while presiding over a two member’s bench of Supreme Court (SC) during the course of hearing of bail application of an accused in gas stealing case here Thursday.
The court directed the accused that it will grant him bail after he pays 50 percent of the amount of penalty slapped on him.
“The court cannot do so that it accepts your bail plea when you continue to steal gas and don’t make payment. First of all pay the amount on account of fine imposed on you and then give arguments for your bail,” court remarked. The hearing of the case was adjourned.
